Summary

Crew On Court is a private padel, tennis, or pickleball doubles match coordination service used by an invite-only community of friends. We collect only what we need to deliver invites, run matches, and verify it's you. We do not sell, share, or use your information for marketing, and we never share it with third parties for their own purposes.

What we collect

  • Phone number — provided by the friend who invites you and used to text invitations and verification codes.
  • Display name — what you choose to be called within the app.
  • Crew activity — which crew(s) you join, who invited you, which matches you accept, decline, or drop out of, and any optional notes the organizer attaches to a match.
  • Channel preference — whether you prefer to be reached over SMS or WhatsApp.
  • SMS consent state — whether you have opted in to recurring SMS messages (timestamp of opt-in, or null if you haven't). SMS consent is a separate, optional choice you make on the opt-in page or from the “Me” tab; sign-up and crew membership do not require it.
  • Calendar busy windows (optional) — if you choose to connect a Google calendar, we read only your busy/free times so we know when not to invite you. We never read event titles, attendees, descriptions, or attachments, and we never write to your calendar. See “Calendar integration” below.
  • Verification codes — six-digit one-time codes sent via Twilio Verify for sign-in. We do not store these codes after they expire.
  • Operational logs — basic delivery status for messages we send (so we can tell if a text bounced), and standard server logs maintained by our hosting providers (Vercel and Supabase).

What we do not collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, payment information, advertising identifiers, or anything from your device that you didn't explicitly give us. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

How we use what we collect

  • To deliver invitations and match updates by SMS or WhatsApp.
  • To verify that a sign-in attempt is really you (one-time codes).
  • To compute who is free at a given time when a match is proposed.
  • To show organizers the status of invites for matches they created.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your information.
  • We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing.
  • We do not use your information for our own marketing. Crew On Court has no advertising program.
  • We do not share your phone number or crew activity with anyone outside the crews you joined. Other crew members only see what is needed to play together — your display name, the phone number on file (so organizers can reach you), and your response status on a given match.

Calendar integration

Connecting a Google calendar is entirely optional. If you connect one, we only read your busy/free time windows so we don't invite you when you have something scheduled. We never read the titles, descriptions, attendees, or attachments of your events, and we never write events to your calendar. We never share calendar contents with anyone else in your crew. You can disconnect your calendar at any time from the Me tab, which deletes the stored authorization and busy windows.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of vendors strictly to operate the service. These vendors process data on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using it for their own purposes:

  • Twilio — sends our SMS and WhatsApp messages and verification codes.
  • Vercel — hosts the web application.
  • Supabase — hosts our database.
  • Google — only if you opted into calendar integration, exclusively to read your busy/free windows.

How we protect your data

All connections to the application use HTTPS. Tokens for sign-in and invitation links are stored only as cryptographic hashes — the raw token exists only inside the URL sent to you. OAuth refresh tokens for calendar integration are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Verification codes are handled by Twilio Verify and not retained by us.

Retention and deletion

Crew activity stays as long as your crew exists. You can opt out of all messaging at any time by replying STOP to a message. To have your account and data deleted, email our contact form and we will remove your phone number, display name, calendar connection, and non-essential history within 30 days.

Children

Crew On Court is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the “Last updated” date at the top.
